Dr. George Gharibian, PhD-MFT has a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Memphis and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge. He is a licensed psychologist in the state of California and provides psychotherapy in a private practice setting.
In addition, Dr. Gharibian is a core faculty member in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles.
His teaching and research interests include Intercultural Psychology, Immigration and Mental Health, Clinical Intervention, Trauma, Mindfulness and Family dynamics.
Dr. Jessica Vartanyan, PsyD is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) practicing for the past 12 years in Southern California, with the last several years in private practice. She has worked in a variety of settings including school-based programs, DMH-contracted agencies, group practices, and domestic violence organizations, bringing a wide range of clinical experience to her work.
She primarily works with adults in individual therapy, with a focus on high-achieving professionals and first- or second-generation immigrants navigating anxiety, low self-worth, perfectionism, and the pressure to succeed. Her approach is culturally responsive and person-centered, aiming to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can reconnect with their inner voice and build healthier relationships—with themselves and others.
Dr. Jonathan Doctorian, PhD is a psychological associate at Equip Psychology. He works primarily with males of varying ages exhibiting neurodivergence, attention disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. He is currently focused on completing his requirements for licensure in the state of California.
Dr. Doctorian continues his research especially on the integration of psychology with theology and fitness. His goal is to continue providing therapy while making psychological topics accessible to everyone regardless of mental state. Dr. Doctorian is also ordained in the Christian church and serves as an associate pastor in his local church providing weekly sermons and monthly free workshops to the community.
Dr. Preny Alaverdian, PsyD is a Psychological Associate at All for One Therapy with a strong commitment to supporting diverse communities. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, Los Angeles. Her clinical work is rooted in a deep understanding of multicultural identity, with a focus on serving individuals from MENA backgrounds, particularly the Armenian community. Her approach integrates evidence-based practices with cultural sensitivity to help clients navigate challenges related to identity, adjustment, and mental health.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Alaverdian remains deeply connected to her Armenian heritage. She is an active member of the Armenian Relief Society, the ARF Shant Student Association, and is an alumna of the Armenian Youth Federation. Through both her professional and community involvement, she strives to promote mental wellness, cultural pride, and social justice.
Dr. Lena Magardechian, PsyD-MFT is an Armenian American cis-gender female who received her Doctoral Degree in Psychology specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) in 2017 from the University of Alliant/CSPP, located in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Magardechian is currently teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University for the Clinical Psychology Graduate Program with Marriage and Family Emphasis for the Mental Health Systems, Practice, and Advocacy classes. In addition, she also works as a Registered Psychological Associate and is preparing to pass her Board Exams to become a Psychologist.
Dr. Magardechian has been involved for over 15 years working in the mental health field and is currently working as an OCD, fear, and anxiety specialist in private practice both remotely and in-person. During her free time, Dr. Magardechian is committed to her 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Charities called Women’s Advocacy Club (WAC) and Men’s Advocacy Club (MAC).
Eric Chambrasi, M.A. received his Master’s level Clinical Psychology degree from Pepperdine University and got his start in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. He is currently in the process of completing the licensure requirements at Calmura Counseling Center. He currently provides affordable mental health services at this counseling center, where he gets to be a dedicated and passionate advocate for mental health within the Armenian American community.
He gets to work with elementary schools across LAUSD and works in a private practice setting, working with individuals and families, focusing on a trauma-focused approach to mental health with an emphasis on Psychoanalysis. During his free time, he enjoys traveling, camping, and cooking.
Dr. Taleen Sahakian, PsyD is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Psychological Associate based in Los Angeles. With a PsyD in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, and an MBA, she combines clinical expertise with creativity, planning and a strategic mindset.
Before becoming a therapist, Taleen held leadership roles in entertainment marketing and now focuses on supporting individuals in navigating challenges and achieving their life goals and personal growth. A Los Angeles native, she is passionate about giving back to her community and fostering meaningful connections.
Taleen believes that thoughtful events can play a vital role in advancing AAMHA’s mission and can create meaningful opportunities for members to connect, learn, and grow.
Dr. Anni Hasratian, PhD completed her M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University and obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Southern Methodist University. Her clinical training experiences have ranged from VA hospital and medical settings to community mental health clinics across California, Texas, and Washington D.C.
Dr. Hasratian’s therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive and Behavioral strategies, and she specializes in individual therapy for adults in the following areas: trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use and insomnia. Her research interests include transdiagnostically exploring psychological processes underlying symptoms of anxiety and mood disorders to better understand and improve treatment outcome.
Dr. Arpine Gulgulyan, PsyD received her Master’s level Clinical Psychology degree from the Yerevan State University and her doctorate degree from the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University.
Arpine completed her internship at the APA-accredited internship program at the Institute of Multicultural Counseling and Educational Services (IMCES) She is currently in the process of completing the licensure requirements. Arpine is a strong advocate of mental health service delivery for underserved and disadvantaged populations while continuously working on strengthening the ties between local mental health professionals and her colleagues in Armenia.
Her clinical interests revolve around individuals with developmental disabilities across the lifespan and children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has been a member of the AAMHA since 2017 and is more actively involved in the materialization of the association’s mission.
